Terence McNamee
Terence McNamee has worked on development, governance, and security issues for more than two decades, and continues to wear multiple hats as a scholar, consultant, author and editor. Based in Johannesburg, he is a consultant to Mary Oppenheimer Daughters, a global fellow of the Wilson Center, an independent director of the Africa Foresight Group, and a director of the Institute for Continuing History. He co-edited The State of Peacebuilding in Africa with Monde Muyangwa.
He was advisor to Malawi’s President Joyce Banda in 2013, and head of mission for an international election observation mission in Lesotho in 2017. Terence’s book CENTURY, a photographic history of the 21st century, won the British Book Awards, France Info's special award for photojournalism and a merit award from the Art Directors Club.
