The Africa No Filter Climate Action Hub wants to highlight fresh, relevant, and exciting stories that take the climate narrative in Africa from crisis to solutions. Content creators will receive funding, networking opportunities and amplification support.

Africa No Filter Comedy Lab is a digital competition open to African comedians based anywhere on the continent. Winners will receive funding to create comedy skits, access to masterclasses, and a mentorship programme to elevate their storytelling.

This grant call-out wants to contribute to an increase in African female storytellers and content creators and to give space to voices that are historically misrepresented and underrepresented across the continent.

Do you have a community of creatives and artistic young people who are open to learning more about climate action?

Africa No Filter, in partnership with Electric South, Imisi 3D and Meta, invites Extended Reality Creators to apply for grants of up to $30,000 to support the production and development of new content.

Africa No Filter offers Operational Support Grants to not-for-profit organisations who are aligned to our mission and are based in Africa and the Diaspora ( their work must benefit African creatives, artists or storytellers). Funds can be used to cover operational costs to keep the organisation going whilst it conducts its work.

Our Project Support Grants support the delivery of creative projects on the continent by storytellers and media platforms that are using art, innovation, tech and creativity to challenge stereotypical narratives about Africa. Grants must be for a specific project, with a clear start and end date and project milestones.

Our Capacity Building Grants support the delivery of skills development and other up-skilling programmes on the continent. 

Our Convening Grants support the facilitation of exchanges, conversations, dialogues and debates about narratives of Africa and how these narratives are built and sustained.

Our research doesn’t sit in inboxes. We use our reports to partner with mission-aligned organisations to work on projects that are designed to engage with narrative using ANF data.
